Event: Wiru Cup 2026 (Kohtla-Järve, Estonia) Category: Pre-Chicks A Result: 1st Place. (24.22 points)
We are proud to announce that Ksenija Rjabinina took home the Gold Medal! However, in professional figure skating, results are just numbers. As a coaching team, we focus on technical quality and long-term development.
Coach Alexander Ryabinin’s Technical Breakdown:
"Judging a skate from the stands can often be subjective; a professional analysis is required to see the full picture.
Ksenija last competed three months ago, debuting her Double Salchow (2S). Interestingly, based on previous scores, her 2S looked 'better' last time. However, there was a hidden issue: previously, she showed a cleaner landing but was under-rotating the jump. Today, she presented what might look like a 'worse' version visually, but technically, she is now fully rotating the jump. This is a critical developmental step: prioritizing full rotation over a safe, cheated landing.
Furthermore, we significantly increased the difficulty for this competition:
Changed jump entries (transitions).
Altered the program structure with complex turns.
This requires immense focus and cognitive effort from the athlete.
Given these technical adjustments, I consider this a successful performance!"
