The Sports Ethics Code of Ryabinin Camps establishes ethical and professional norms for all adult camp participants (including athletes, parents, and accompanying persons). It helps create a healthy, supportive, and effective environment where every athlete can grow, develop, and succeed.
Rules of Interaction and Focus
We collectively shape the athlete's healthy attitude toward figure skating and training.
Focus on Effort: Always praise the athlete for effort, perseverance, and progress, not just results. Remind them that mistakes are an integral part of the learning and growth process.
Maintain Balance: Remember that figure skating is only a part of the athlete's life. Support their academic performance, social interests, and time for adequate rest.
Positive Language: Use only positive, encouraging, and constructive language when communicating with athletes, coaches, and other adult participants.
Rules of Respect for Process and Professionals
Trusting the coaching staff and maintaining professional distance is the key to camp effectiveness.
Trust the Professionals: Fully trust the professional knowledge, experience, and decisions of the coach. The coach is responsible for the technical, physical, and psychological preparation of the athlete.
Group Distribution and Benefit: Groups are formed strictly according to the skating level for the maximum benefit of the athlete. Initial distribution is based on your application data, but the coaching staff reserves the right to make adjustments, transferring a skater to a group that better matches their actual skills. Trust the coaches: their decision guarantees maximum progress, and does not take personal reasons (friends, subjective assessment) into account.
Maintain Distance: Never interfere with the training process, do not stand by the boards, and do not give instructions to the athlete or coach during the session. This distracts everyone, undermines the coach's authority, and can be unsafe.
Communication Channels and Respect for Time: It is strictly prohibited to spontaneously distract coaches and staff from work, especially during training sessions. All personal questions, complaints, or discussions requiring detailed attention must be agreed upon in advance and conducted exclusively in a confidential setting (outside the ice arena/schedule) so as not to disrupt the workflow and concentration of the athletes.
Confidentiality and Team Ethics
Respect for methodology, confidentiality, and team interests is the foundation of our work.
Intellectual Property and Confidentiality: The teaching methods of Ryabinin Camps are the intellectual property of the coaching staff. Video recording of the training process is strictly prohibited (violates IP rights, confidentiality, and distracts athletes). As an exception, observing and taking notes exclusively on paper for personal analysis is allowed.
Group Dynamics: Make decisions and express wishes, taking into account not only your personal interests and needs but also the interests and needs of other children and the entire training group. Together, we create a team environment.
Responsibilities and Example
The athlete's readiness and personal example are the key requirements of the camps.
Equipment Preparation: Ensure the athlete arrives for training on time, in a clean and functional costume, with sharpened skates, and all necessary inventory.
Respect for Other Participants: Refrain from criticizing other athletes, their coaches, or accompanying persons. Create an atmosphere of mutual respect and support within the team.
Example for Athletes: Be a model of sportsmanship: treat coaches, organizers, all athletes, and accompanying persons respectfully.
Our Shared Mission and Agreement
We are the United Ryabinin Camps family. Our common mission is to create the best and most supportive environment for the development and personal growth of young and adult athletes.
By confirming participation (as an adult athlete, parent, or accompanying person), we all acknowledge and accept the provisions of this Code as the basis for successful, respectful work within our shared sports family.
